Matthew Charlton is currently a PhD student at The University of Texas at Austin working with Prof. Keith Stevenson and studying Materials Science and Engineering. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Matthew received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University in 2008.  After graduation, he spent 2 years as a Metallurgical Engineer in one of the world’s largest steel companies, ArcelorMittal.  Now at UT, his interests lie in development of new materials for energy storage applications.  The focus of his work is in the synthesis and characterization of carbon/metal oxide composite electrodes for application in...
