Research:

Ozgur's research focused on understanding nanoscale heat transfer from laser-heated plasmonic nanoparticles. Ozgur developed computational tools for simulating heat transfer, including interface resistance. Ozgur also worked on developing pressure and stress models for bubble formation from ultrafast laser heating of liquids, and understanding the effects of heating on biological tissue.
