Research:

My research was divided into two areas. First, I studied laser-induced cavitation bubbles, where I worked to understand optical breakdown mechanisms and processes in an aqueous medium using ultrashort pulses lasers with an emphasis on cavitation bubble formation and dynamics. I was also interested in plasmonic nanoparticle photodisruption. For this research, I studied how plasmonic enhancement, particle absorption and near-field intensity affect photodisruption mechanisms and intensity thresholds.
