Research:

My research involved nonlinear imaging of both endogenous and exogenous signals from biological samples. I'm interested in understanding the diagnostic capabilities of autofluorescence and nonlinear scattering contrast in epithelial tissues. I also did research on the limitations and possible solutions to probing this contrast with multiphoton microscopy. Finally, I examined the luminescence properties of plasmonic nanoparticles under ultrashort pulse irradiation, towards their use as exogenous contrast agents for molecularly-specific imaging.
